​After owning Breath of the Wild for over a year, I finally sat down over the past few months and beat it. The game was very hyped up when I first bought it, but when I played it I found it boring. So, there it sat on my shelf. I knew I needed to give it a fair chance, and decided I couldn’t judge the game purely on the first couple hours. I’m so happy I tried again. For those who haven’t played it yet, I, like everyone else, highly recommend this game. My caveat is that the first five hours or so are a slog! That is a long time to have to push through for a game to be good, but once you get the hang of BOTW you will not be disappointed.

A surprising new outlook on horror

​After a lifetime of avoiding horror movies, I realized recently that I actually like them. Well, certain types. My girlfriend and I (neither of which have ever watched horror before) have been on a bit of a horror kick lately. In the past couple of months we’ve watched Get Out, IT (part 1 & 2), The Haunting of Hill House, American Horror Story, and most recently Into the Tall Grass. I really enjoyed all of them.
