The Deadly Tower of Monsters

If you ask my friends, I am terrible for starting a game, playing a good way through it, and then never finishing it, or picking it up again. Haha oops! It is something I have been trying to get better with, but that is why I really enjoy the free games that come with a PlayStation Gold Membership.
Every month you get two free games. This ends up more then paying for your subscription by the end of the year, and also lets you enjoy a lot of lesser known games, as well as great indie games. For me this is great because I get to enjoy new games every month and I didn’t “pay” for them, so I don’t feel so bad not finishing them. The funny part though is lately I have been beating them.

I watched The Boy and the Beast over the weekend and absolutely loved it! This is about a year late, but I had to write about it. The movie directed and written by Mamoru Hosoda is a wonderful story with many overlapping themes that make it a rich and emotionally stimulating story; at its core though it is a coming of age story. This is a movie I watched again the next day that’s how much I enjoyed it.

Dr. Strange: Marvel Does It Again

I made a point this past weekend to go and see Dr. Strange in the biggest 3D theater I could, and I was not disappointed. I have been looking forward to this movie ever since Benedict Cumberbatch signed on to play the mystical Sorcerer Supreme. If anyone could help make this character believable and bring him to life, it is Sherlock… I mean Cumberbatch. Marvel really has done it again (not very surprising). They took an origin story, something we have now seen over and over, and managed to make it unique and special.
Dr. Strange is the story of a very gifted and arrogant surgeon who gets into a harrowing car accident that leaves his hands crippled.

Dragon Ball – Never Believe You Are the Best

I started watching Dragon Ball (DB) a few weeks ago. I love the screaming, power up, energy blasting madness that is Dragon Ball Z (DBZ), but had never seen its roots: DB, Goku as a kid. DB is very entertaining and follows Goku, Krillin, and Bulma (among others) learning martial arts, exploring the wacky earth they live in, and finding dragon balls. I hit a certain point and started to miss the epic battles of DBZ, and I knew that its sequel Dragon Ball Super (DBS) had come out fairly recently, so I started watching that as well. In doing that I came across two points in the story that mirror each other, and I think can resonate with us and teach us something. Never believe you are the best.
